A Note From Jay:
Due to family issues, I am not doing any fairs this summer. I've spent 6 weeks in Racine, WI emptying and selling my childhood home after the death of my father at 95 years of age. I give thanks to my brother Roger for his loving care that made our dad's last 5 years much more enjoyable.
I also thank all the people that helped me while I was in WI., espically my nephew Thor for helping move Roger back to AZ; Faron Deter and his brother Reese for clearing out the house, Linda McClure and my cousin Candy and families for moral support. I enjoyed being a tourist in my birth state, taking walks along the beaches of Lake Michigan, Seeing Cranes dance, hiking in Kettle Meraine, north & south; and around Devil's Lake, and exploring back roads and coffee shops.
While in Wisconsin, I got a call from my sister Tam telling me that our mom's health was going downhill fast. So I'm planning to spend the rest of the summer in Flagstaff AZ with my mom, sister & brother and my nieces & nephews.I give thanks to Tam for all the loving care she is giving my mom, who is living with her, and to my mom for all the loving care she gave to me while I was growing up.
I will be back in NC in Oct. for the marriage of my son Jovian Pfeil Sackett to Maggie Davis. YES! After that I will be doing the Southern Highlands Craft Guild Show in Oct., and the Piedmont Craftsmen and Carolina Designer Craftsmen shows in Nov.
